Save Energy and Money with Pool Pump Energy Utility Rebates

Swimming pools can be energy hogs. And the largest hog in the pen is the pool pump. Many older pumps are very inefficient, and also may be operating longer each day than they need to. Variable Speed pumps, Two Speed pumps and Pump Timers can save up to 80% off the electric bill, and to make it even sweeter, State and Local utilities are offering incentive rebates to encourage the installation of pumps, timers and covers that can reduce the demand on the electric grid.
Many states are not only offering rebates, but have mandated requirements that all new or replacement pumps be Energy Efficient. States like California and Arizona, with rolling blackouts have been forced to look at all sources of demand on the grid, and make some smart choices to keep the cost of electricity down for everyone.
Variable speed pumps dial-in the needed electricity with penny pinching parsimony. They also run cooler and quieter than standard models and may last longer too. Two speed pumps run on low speed most of the time, and kick it up to high speed for only a few hours per day. Timer clocks can save tons of money, as most pools only need to be filtered for 12 hours per day, plus or minus.
The list below comes courtesy of Pentair, manufacturers of the Intelliflo and Intellipro pool pumps. Jandy and Hayward are also in the game, each offering their own variable speed pool pump to meet the demands of an energy hungry nation.
Take a look at all of our Energy Efficient Variable Speed Pool Pumps, and when you need to replace your old, energy hog pool pump, grab a rebate and enjoy the savings! If you don't see your state below, check the website of your local power supplier, and do a site search for "pool pumps".
