Sooner or Later, your above ground pool vinyl liner will need to be replaced. Generally, above ground liners last 10 years or so, depending on the quality of the pool liner and the care given to the water chemistry. Over time, harsh water conditions can deplete the plasticizers within vinyl and cause your vinyl liner to become brittle and stiff. Eventually, all liners will fail, some gradually, some tragically and all at once.

- Minority kids drown at rates 3x national average
It's an economic disadvantage. Urban kids in the US, especially black and latino kids, aren't taught to swim properly or don't enjoy the same access to public swimming facilities as wealthier families do. Or is it that their parents don't have swimming skills and therefore the perogative to teach swimming to their own children takes a back seat to other parenting responsibilities?

- Help! I can't get my pool to clear!
It's a common question this time of year. We see it in our forums, emails, chats and other areas where we answer pool technical questions. It usually goes something like this: "I have done everything, and I mean e v e r y-thing to this pool. Balanced it, Cleaned it, Shocked it - even running the filter 24/7 and the darn thing won't clear up - Help!"
